What do you honestly think about my poem?
his is not about me, but I tried to imagine how hard life could be. don’t be too harsh when answering thanks,
Just a Dream
Please God, tell me why!
Tell me the reason for the pain
And tell me if I will ever gain.
I do promise that I will try.
Have I been bad?
Is it because I pushed my brother down
And all I got from Mom was a frown?
But please, all I want is my dad.
Dad left us a long time ago,

El Cid versus Musashi?
Rather than just pit a random Samurai against a random Knight, why not throw these two legends into the ring?
Hmmm…having read the histories of both warriors, I would have to go with Musashi in a head to head confrontation. His ability to wield two swords in my opinion would give him the advantage. However, on the battle field commanding an army, the edge would definitely go to El Cid Campeador. (Pun intended)
IMHO of course.

I’m going with El Cid by virtue of superior armour, but I wouldn’t put any money on it.
P.S. I always execute El Cid in Medieval II: Total War.
undertow | Mar 02, 2007
you been drinking that vino mate?lol.haha i’l say Musashi.
BUSHIDO | Mar 02, 2007
Miyamoto Musashi by far. Armour superior? Katanas are very strong and sharp AND musashi isnt just a master of swords. He had his first duel at the age of 13 and he beat the sword wielding man with just a wooden stick.

What does this short story relate to, compare it to something you seen heard or read before?
It was a busy morning, approximately 8;30 am, when an elderly
> gentleman in his 80’s, arrived to have stitches removed from his
> thumb.
>
> He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00
> am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would
> be over an hour before someone would be able to see him.
>
> I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with
> another patient, I would evaluate his wound.
>
> On exam it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got
> the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
>
> While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation.
> I asked him if he had a doctor’s appointment this morning, as he was
> in such a hurry.
>
> The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to
> eat breakfast with his wife.
>
> I then inquired as to her health.
>
> He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a
> victim of Alzheimer’s Disease.
>
> As we talked, and I finished dressing his wound, I asked if she would
> be worried if he was a bit late.
>
> He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not
> recognized him in five years now.
>
> I was surprised, and asked him. "And you still go every morning,
> even though she doesn’t know who you are?"
>
> He smiled as he patted my hand and said.
>
> "She doesn’t know me, but I still know who she is."
>
> I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and
> thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life."
>
> ~True love is neither physical, nor romantic.
>
> ~True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and
> will not be.

 Lion King 1?, The (2004)
IMDB rating: 6.40
Plot: Imagine a cross between _Lion King, The (1994)_ (qv) and _Back to the Future Part II (1989)_ (qv). This is a separate story thread, that of Timon and Pumbaa, intertwined with the original story. Thus, along with seeing new events (e.g. Timon’s departure from the meerkat colony, Timon and Pumbaa’s first meeting, the origin of “Hakuna Matata”), we get to see a new perspective on (and some previously unseen causes for) some of the events in the original film. Oh, and the whole thing is told in a _”Mystery Science Theater 3000″ (1988)_ (qv) framework, with Timon and Pumbaa narrating and interacting with the “onscreen” movie.
